Labs

We have 60 discrete Lab facilities at present, ranging from small to very large, depending on function. Labs house dedicated equipment based on their core purpose, and the specific requirements of the various Project Leads. Additionally, most of the lab facilities can be re-configured to other purposes in a relatively short time.

Library

The site library, housed within the K. Eric Drexler building, consists of 6 distinct rooms, including General, Legal, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics, plus the computer center. The library is available around the clock, and staffed from 10AM – 2AM. We currently house approximately 65,000 titles in printed form, plus approximately 80,000 in electronic form. While the library’s core function is to support research and reference, our General section is on a par with some of the best public libraries, including materials for children.

We fully support the efforts of our associates to expand their knowledge, talents, and skills. Associates may request any material they need, and if it is not already in our collection, our support team will do their best to locate and acquire the item. Associates are also fully reimbursed for any materials they purchase and subsequently donate to the library facility.

An AS/400 system supports library cataloging, change control management, and document retrieval activities within the facility, and is networked to the rest of the campus.

Meeting Conference Rooms

For those days when nothing else is happening – call a meeting! Widgetdyne has many meeting rooms placed throughout the campus, of various sizes. Each major building has 2 large conference rooms, outfitted with full audio/visual systems, projectors, and network connections from each seat location to a dedicated content server within the room. Smaller rooms are configurable as needed from site stores.

Medical Staff

Nick your finger on your slide rule? No worries, mate! Centrally-located on the campus, the Sick Bay is located within the David Feintuch building. Comprising 4 emergency bays, 2 ICUs, and support for 16 non-critical patients, the Sick Bay is staffed by a minimum of 1 doctor and 2 RNs 24x7x365. Additional medical professionals are available from regional hospitals upon notification, and are contracted to arrive onsite within 30 minutes of call.

Pet Care

Happy pets make happy associates, and happy associates do better science. And, coincidentally, each of the Executive Team members is a pet lover. That’s why we placed a full veterinary and pet care center on-campus. The center is staffed from 9 - 9 by a fully-qualified veterinarian, and a support staff of 5 associates. Located on the ground floor of Tower A, the facility includes medical, day care, and spa facilities for dogs and cats. A dedicated team of 4 associates can also provide in-apartment care and visitation for dogs, cats, and other common pets. All services are provided as a benefit, at no cost to our associates. Let’s face it – when you get that call from Stockholm, and need to go receive a prize, we don’t want you to worry about your puppy while you’re away!
