Widgetdyne has an extensive and rigorous process for recruiting new talent. In the interest of fairness, we would like to make you aware of some aspects of the procedure:
• If contacted by us regarding employment,
there is no guarantee that an offer of employment will be tendered.
• The interview and screening process can sometimes be lengthy (6-8
months, plus additional time if Security Classifications are a component of
the process.)
• If contacted by us, you may expect to participate in a minimum of
5 interviews. The first interview is always by phone. Subsequent interviews
may require you to travel to our campus, or (if more convenient), we will
travel to you.
• If we request you to visit us at our campus, Widgetdyne will pay all
expenses with regard to your travel, lodging, meals, entertainment, and communication
with your Family while with us. We encourage your spouses to accompany you
if possible, and you are welcome to bring your children along if you desire.
• We conduct full background checks on all candidates, and encourage
an honest and full disclosure during the evaluation process. Most of us went
to college; we know what happens there, and won’t flay you for it.
• If the position requires a Security clearance, and we tender an offer
of employment, we will absorb the cost of the necessary investigations.
• All Widgetdyne associates are subject to a 1-Year probationary period,
and we reserve the right to terminate employment without cause during this
period. We have never availed ourselves of this right, as our hiring processes
are extremely stout.
• If an offer to you has been made requiring a Security Clearance, and
said Security Clearance is estimated to take more than six (6) months to accomplish,
we will offer your employment in a similar, but non-Secured role until Clearance
has been granted. Compensation will be equivalent to the agreed-upon amount
until the results of the investigation have been communicated to us.
• If an offer to you has been made requiring a Security Clearance, and
you fail to gain said Security Clearance for any reason beyond our immediate
control, we will make every attempt to position you in a similar, non-Secured
role should you so desire.
• We do not – under any circumstances – treat the lack of
Formal Education as an element in our hiring process. For any given opening,
we will entertain all applicants, and provide multiple opportunities for you
to demonstrate your own unique skills, regardless of degree or diploma.

Sr. Nanobiologist
Position requiring extensive field experience in all areas of biology, sequencing, chromosome, and strand modification, as well as a PhD. or equivalent experience in lencometry and K2P mutation/alteration sciences. Previous experience with large-array biostatistical theory is a plus, as is technical experience with Linux and large database structures. Successful applicant will work directly with Dr. Erfinderisch to direct new product development. Estimated salary range $390 - $432K.
Sr. Technical Mathematician
Position requiring excellent grounding and experience in multiple disciplines related to mathematics, both applied and theoretical. Qualified candidate will act as “second in command” to our Chief Executive Mathematician, rendering support in the fields of Advanced Topology, Game Theory, Graph Theory, Stochastiometrics, Advanced Calculus, Geometry, Computational Theory, and Chemical Reduction Math Sciences. We will provide training and support toward the acquisition of any 3 of the above 8 disciplines, provided the Candidate exhibits some previous knowledge in those areas. Secondary skills requested: training, curriculum development, and operational experience with mathematical Modeling programs such as MathCad, Calculuum, TopoNal, etc. Estimated salary range $170 – 350K based upon experience.
Experimental Rigger, Trainee
Position requiring exceptional problem-solving capabilities in the design and construction of experimental apparatus. Requires solid grounding in the areas of carpentry, plumbing, electrical apparatus, and general construction, with a focus on metalworking in the form of ducting and load-bearing design. Aptitude with advanced machining techniques is a definite plus, but we will train if not. Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously, some under deadline. Excellent management skills or the capability to develop same. Estimated salary range $97 – 195K.
Corporate Test Pilot
Position requires a senior, experienced airperson possessing multi-engine, jet, IFR, IP, rotary-wing, and ATP qualifications. Seaplane experience is a plus. Extensive previous trans-sonic and supersonic flight experience is mandatory, extending to all aspects of the test flight regime. Ability to formulate and execute rigorous flight test goals is required; extensive experience in aeronautical, mechanical, and electronic engineering will be considered a definite plus. Estimated salary range $400 - 450K,
